2024 stations

Two types of station

There are two types of àVélo stations: electric charging stations and solar-powered stations. This choice allows us to leverage the network's flexibility for faster deployment. The stations are made up of several components, enabling them to be adapted to different urban environments, such as street-sides, parks, and private land. The design is both elegant and sturdy. The choice of a station-based network was made to offer an organized, accessible, and easily identifiable network for customers.

Electrified stations

Electrified stations are directly connected to the power grid, so bike batteries can be recharged in real time. Once connected to the grid, the station location becomes permanent. However, if a major change were to take place, the electrical connection could be used to develop other services.

Solar stations

Solar powered stations are self-sufficient in energy. Solar energy enables the station to operate and customers to rent bikes. However, bike batteries cannot be recharged by solar power alone; human intervention is required. The solar installation not only enables a station's performance to be tested and analyzed before it is connected to the power grid, but also enables any location opportunities to be seized, even when the site is far from the power grid.
