Electrified stations are directly connected to the power grid, allowing real-time charging of bike batteries. Once connected, the station’s location becomes permanent. If major changes are needed, the electrical connection could also support the development of future services.
Powered by solar energy, these stations are self-sufficient. Solar power allows the station to operate and users to rent bikes. However, bike batteries cannot be recharged using solar energy alone—manual intervention is required. Solar installations make it possible to test and evaluate station performance before connecting to the power grid, and they also allow for flexible placement, even in areas far from electrical infrastructure.
