2025 Network

Two Types of Stations

The àVélo network includes two types of stations: electric charging stations and solar-powered stations. This setup was chosen to ensure network flexibility and enable faster deployment. Each station is made up of modular components that can be configured to fit the urban landscape—whether on the roadside, in parks, or on private property. The modular design is both elegant and durable. The station-based network was selected to offer an organized, accessible, and easily recognizable system for users

Electrified Stations

Electrified stations are directly connected to the power grid, allowing real-time charging of bike batteries. Once connected, the station’s location becomes permanent. If major changes are needed, the electrical connection could also support the development of future services.

Solar Stations

Powered by solar energy, these stations are self-sufficient. Solar power allows the station to operate and users to rent bikes. However, bike batteries cannot be recharged using solar energy alone—manual intervention is required. Solar installations make it possible to test and evaluate station performance before connecting to the power grid, and they also allow for flexible placement, even in areas far from electrical infrastructure
