About àVélo

àVélo offers 2,300 self-service electrically-assisted bikes at 225 stations strategically located throughout Quebec City. It's a complementary service to the public transit network, designed to be accessible to as many users as possible. It's a simple, easy-to-use active mobility service that lets residents and visitors alike rent a bike for short, utilitarian trips. The service is available from May 1st to November 15th. During the 2025 season, the service was extended until November 15th.

Expand the urban mobility offer with a seasonal bike-sharing service that makes short trips easier and evolves according to customer needs.

As a complement to walking, to be the choice for active commuting wherever àVélo is deployed.

àVélo bikes are designed and produced by PBSC Urban Solutions based in Longueuil, Quebec, in partnership with Cycles Devinci, based in Saguenay, Quebec. Quebec City is the first city in North America to set up a 100% electrically-assisted bike-sharing network!

Capitale Mobilité is a limited partnership company mandated by the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) to develop and operate various strategic business lines that contribute to the advancement of sustainable mobility:

Operation of the àVélo bike-sharing service
Business development, including commercial partnerships and management of advertising contracts
Enhancement of RTC’s real estate and digital assets
