According to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/fr\/version\/lc\/C-24.2?code=se:492_2&amp;historique=20260330#20260330\">article 492.2<\/a> of the Highway Safety Code, it is prohibited to use an electric\u2011assist bicycle without wearing a helmet. Since our entire fleet is electric\u2011assist, wearing a helmet is mandatory.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aveloquebec.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/icone-velo.png\" alt=\"icone v\u00e9lo\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"92\" width=\"91\" title=\"icone v\u00e9lo\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n<h2>\n\t\tRide in the right place\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Whether you&#8217;re using \u00e0V\u00e9lo or your own bike, the rules are the same. It is always best to use the cycling network when available. If there is no bike infrastructure, ride on the roadway in the same direction as cars, staying to the right. Here are four guidelines to ensure safe coexistence for everyone:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not use your cellphone while riding.<\/li>\n<li>Do not wear headphones.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use \u00e0V\u00e9lo if your abilities are impaired.<\/li>\n<li>Do not obstruct your vision with an oversized item in the basket. And remember: the basket is for carrying objects only!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--EndFragment --><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aveloquebec.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/icone-arret.png\" alt=\"icone arr\u00eat\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"92\" width=\"91\" title=\"icone arr\u00eat\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n<h2>\n\t\tRespect the Highway Safety Code\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>When riding an electric\u2011assist bicycle, just like with any other land-based mode of transportation, it is essential to follow the Highway Safety Code. By law, the service is therefore reserved for people aged 18 and over. Two exceptions are allowed:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Individuals aged 16 and over who hold a driver&#8217;s licence;<\/li>\n<li>Individuals aged 14 and over who hold a moped licence (6D).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--EndFragment --><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aveloquebec.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/icone-fleche.png\" alt=\"icone fl\u00e8che\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"92\" width=\"91\" title=\"icone fl\u00e8che\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n<h2>\n\t\tPre\u2011ride check\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p><!--StartFragment --><\/p>\n<p>Before starting a trip, it is recommended to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adjust your seat according to your height and comfort;<\/li>\n<li>Check that the brakes, bell, and lights are working;<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the tires are in good condition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If everything looks good, you&#8217;re ready to ride.
